The target protein is expressed with sequence (Gly20-Ala638) of Human KLKB1 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.

It contains a peptidase S1 domain and four apple domains. The enzyme cleaves Lys-Arg and Arg-Ser bonds. It activates, in a reciprocal reaction, factor XII after its binding to a negatively charged surface. It also releases bradykinin from HMW kininogen and may also play a role in the renin-angiotensin system by converting prorenin into renin. It participates in the surface-dependent activation of blood coagulation, fibrinolysis, kinin generation and inflammation.Plasma prekallikrein deficiency causes a prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time in patients.
