    Description Recombinant Human UDP-GalNAc:β-1,3-N-Acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2/B3GALNT2 is produced by our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Arg24-Arg500) of Human B3GALNT2 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

    Background UDP-GalNAc:β-1,3-N-Acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 (B3GALNT2) belongs to the glycosyltransferase 31 family that catalyzes the transfer of galactose. B3GALNT2 is a single-pass type II membrane protein and can be examined in all tissues with the highest levels observed in the testis, adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, and ovary. B3GALNT2 plays a role in synthesizing a unique carbohydrate structure. B3GALNT2 also has a role in protein modification and the protein glycosylation signal pathway.
