Catalog# C311 Source HEK293 Description Recombinant Human CD200 is produced with our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Val21-Gly232) of Human CD200 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names OX-2 Membrane Glycoprotein, CD200, MOX1, MOX2 Accession # P41217 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.Purity Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Less than 0.1 ng/μg (1 IEU/μg). It contains one Ig like V type domain and one Ig like C2 type domain in its extracelluar domain. CD200 is widely but not ubiquitously expressed. Its receptor (CD200R) is restricted primarily to mast cells, basophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells, which suggests myeloid cell regulation as the major function of CD200. CD200 and CD200R associate via their respective N-terminal Ig-like domains. In myeloid cells, CD200R initiates inhibitory signals following receptor-ligand contact. In T cells, CD200 functions as a co-stimulatory molecule independent of the CD28 pathway. In addition, CD200 also plays an important role in prevention of graft rejection, autoimmune diseases and spontaneous abortion.
