Catalog# CD33 Source Human Cells Description Recombinant Human Clusterin is produced by our mammalian expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Asp23-Glu449) of Human CLU fused with a FC-6xHis tag at the C-terminus. Names Clusterin, Aging-Associated Gene 4 Protein, Apolipoprotein J, Apo-J, Complement Cytolysis Inhibitor, CLI, Complement-Associated Protein SP-40,40, Ku70-Binding Protein 1, NA1/NA2, Testosterone-Repressed Prostate Message 2, TRPM-2, CLU, APOJ, CLI, KUB1 Accession # P10909 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS,pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.

Clusterin is expressed in adult testis, heart, ovary, adrenal gland, brain and liver. Clusterin has been suggested to be involved in several basic biological events such as cell death, tumor progression, and neurodegenerative disorders. In addition,Clusterin is up/ down regulated on the mRNA or protein level in many pathological and clinically relevant situations including cancer, organ regeneration, infection, Alzheimer disease, retinitis pigmentosa, myocardial infarction, renal tubular damage, autoimmunity and others.
