Catalog# CB08 Source HEK293 Description Recombinant Human Creatine kinase U-type/CKMT1A is produced by our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala40-His417) of Human CKMT1A fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names CKMT1, U-MtCK, acidic-type mitochondrial creatine kinase, creatine kinase U-type, mitochondrial, creatine kinase, mitochondrial 1 (ubiquitous), mia-CK, ubiquitous mitochondrial creatine kinase Accession # P12532 Formulation Supplied as a 0.2 μM filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped on dry ice/ice packs. Storage Store at < -20°C, stable for 6 months after receipt.
Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Purity Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Less than 0.1 ng/µg (1 IEU/µg). CKMT1 is responsible for the transfer of high energy phosphate from mitochondria to the cytosolic carrier, creatine. It exists as two isoenzymes, sarcomeric MtCK (CKMT2) and ubiquitous MtCK, encoded by separate genes. CKMT1 occurs in two different oligomeric forms: dimers and octamers, in contrast to the exclusively dimeric cytosolic creatine kinase isoenzymes. Ubiquitous mitochondrial creatine kinase has 80% homology with the coding exons of sarcomeric CKMT1.
