Catalog# C596 Source HEK293 Description Recombinant Human Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein 2/CRISP2 is produced with our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Lys22-Tyr243) of Human CRISP2 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein 2, CRISP-2, Cancer/Testis Antigen 36, CT36, Testis-Specific Protein TPX-1, CRISP2, GAPDL5, TPX1 Accession # P16562 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, 0.5% CHAPS, pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.Purity Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Less than 0.1 ng/μg (1 IEU/μg). Within mammals, four CRISPs have been defined: CRISP1 (acidic epididymal glycoprotein [AEG], proteins D and E), CRISP2 (TPX1), CRISP3, and CRISP4. All are strongly expressed within the male reproductive tract, suggesting key roles in male fertility. CRISP2 may regulate some ion channels' activity and therebye regulate calcium fluxes during sperm capacitation.
