Description Recombinant Human Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-Containing Protein 15/ADAM15 is produced with our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Asp207-Thr696) of Human ADAM15 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
    Names Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-Containing Protein 15, ADAM 15, Metalloprotease RGD Disintegrin Protein, Metalloproteinase-Like, Disintegrin-Like, and Cysteine-Rich Protein 15, MDC-15, Metargidin, ADAM15, MDC15
    Accession # Q13444
Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.2
Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature.
Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.
Purity Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
    Endotoxin Less than 0.1 ng/μg (1 IEU/μg).

Background Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-Containing Protein 15 (ADAM15) is a single-pass type I membrane protein. Mature ADAM15 contains a zinc-binding metalloprotease domain, a disintegrin-like domain, as well as an EGF-like domain. ADAM15 is ubiquitously expressed in many tissues and cells, including cultured endothelium, smooth muscle, glomerular mesangial cells, colon and small intestine. ADAM15 plays a role in the wound healing process. It mediates heterotypic intraepithelial cell/T-cell interactions and homotypic T-cell aggregation. ADAM15 Inhibits beta-1 integrin-mediated cell adhesion and migration of airway smooth muscle cells, suppresses cell motility on or towards fibronectin possibly by driving alpha-v/beta-1 integrin (ITAGV-ITGB1) cell surface expression via ERK1/2 inactivation. ADAM15 also participates in glomerular cell migration, pathological neovascularization, cartilage remodeling. ADAM15 still interacts with Src family protein-tyrosine kinases in a phosphorylation-dependent manner. The high expression levels of ADAM15 correlated with advanced metastatic diseases, and a clear association with clinical parameters was determined.
