Catalog# C910 Source HEK293 Description Recombinant Human High Mobility Group Protein B3/HMGB3 is produced by our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala2-Glu200) of Human HMGB3 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names High Mobility Group Protein B3, High Mobility Group Protein 2a, HMG-2a, High Mobility Group Protein 4, HMG-4, HMGB3, HMG2A, HMG4 Accession # O15347 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.

Members of the HMG box subfamily are thought to be have an important role in DNA replication, nucleosome assembly and transcription. HMGB3 binds preferentiallly single-stranded DNA and unwinds double stranded DNA. HMGB3 consists of 200 amino acids and is localized to the cell nucleus. It contains two HMG box DNA-binding domain. HMGB3 binds preferentially single-stranded DNA and unwinds double stranded DNA.
