Catalog# CD89 Source Human Cells Description Recombinant Human Neuroligin-1/NLGN1 is produced by our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Gln46-Val695) of Human NLGN1 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Accession # Q8N2Q7 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS，pH 7.4 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.

Neuroligin-1 involves in cell-cell-interactions via its interactions with neurexin family members.It plays a role in synapse function and synaptic signal transmission, and probably mediates its effects by recruiting and clustering other synaptic proteins. It may promote the initial formation of synapses, but is not essential for this.The protein also may be involved in specification of excitatory synapses.
