The target protein is expressed with sequence (Asp45-Arg322) of Human LMAN2 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names Vesicular Integral-Membrane Protein VIP36, Glycoprotein GP36b, Lectin Mannose-Binding 2, Vesicular Integral-Membrane Protein 36, VIP36, LMAN2, C5orf8 Accession # Q12907 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 50mM TrisHCI,10mM GSH,pH8.0 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.

LMAN2 is widely expressed and contains one L-type lectin-like domain. LMAN2 binds high mannose type glycoproteins and may facilitate their sorting, trafficking and quality control. LMAN2 plays a role as an intracellular lectin in the early secretory pathway. LMAN2 interacts with N-acetyl-D-galactosamine and high-mannose type glycans and may also bind to O-linked glycans. LMAN2 is also involved in the transport and sorting of glycoproteins carrying high mannose-type glycans.
